The Center serves as a “bridge” between the Real Estate Program at Florida State University and its constituencies – professional and academic. The key events organized are outlined below. Upcoming events are listed on the calendar.
The Real Estate Trends Conference, first hosted in 1995, brings to Florida State University and the Tallahassee region each fall, a world-class business forum organized to discuss the emerging trends facing the real estate profession. The goal of the forum is to inform, challenge, and inspire.
The Evan D. Jennings Executive Speaker Series brings leading executives and decision makers to the campus to discuss key issues, trends, and policies affecting the industry and student career strategies.
The Real Deals & Entrepreneur Series brings executive lecturers to campus to discuss with students the “nut & bolts” of their recent deals and day-to-day transactions.
ARGUS Training is offered each fall and spring as a two-day seminar to students in the program. Taught by David Beshears, with Beshears & Associates and an executive lecturer at FSU, the Center provides students ARGUS training and a path to ARGUS certification.
Kislak Real Estate Market Strategies Forums
The Kislak Market Strategy Forums hosted in metropolitan markets throughout the Southeast are designed to assess regional market conditions and opportunities.
FSU-UF Critical Issues Symposium
The FSU-UF Critical Issues in Real Estate Symposium brings leading scholars together to present and discuss their research on the issues of the day. This symposium is organized jointly with the DeVoe Moore Center at Florida State University and the Bergstrom Center at the University of Florida.
Other Events, Forums & Meetings
The Center helps to facilitate student participation at professional meetings (e.g., ULI, ICSC, CCIM, and NAIOP) throughout the year.
The Center, which serves at the administrative home for the American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association (AREUEA), assists in organizing its national and international conferences.
