The FSU Real Estate Trends Conference is organized to inform participants of the emerging trends and issues facing the real estate industry. The conference focuses on factors affecting markets in the southeast region of the U.S.

Thursday Evening, Nov. 6: The 2014 conference will kick off with an opening dinner and feature speaker, Stephen Dubner, award-winning author, Freakonomics and SuperFreakonomics, journalist, and radio and TV personality. The opening dinner will be followed by a jazz reception on the Club’s sixth floor.

Friday, Nov. 7: Featured plenary sessions:
"Real Talks: Ideas that Inform, Challenge, and Inspire" features presentations by noted FSU professor, Anders Ericsson, widely regarded as the one of the world’s leading authorities on “superior performance;” Jonathon Last, journalist and author of “What to Expect When No One’s Expecting;” and Dana Telsey, CEO and Chief Research Officer of the Telsey Advisory Group in New York.

Strategies for Beyond Tomorrow” features a candid one-on-one discussion of market conditions, short- and long-term strategies and emerging opportunities with Ron Kravit, Head of Real Estate Investing, Managing Member of Cerberus Real Estate Capital Management, LLC and Senior Managing Director of Cerberus Capital Management; and moderated by Deirdre Bolton, Anchor, Risk & Reward, FOX Business Network.

The closing lunch features a presentation by Anthony Graziano, Senior Managing Director, Integra Realty Resources–Miami/Palm Beach, FL, who will discuss key trends in the national real estate market, with a spotlight on activities in the Southeast.

Friday, Nov. 7: Concurrent sessions:
Emerging issues affecting future investment, finance, and business decisions are the focus of Friday’s schedule. Concurrent sessions are organized that discuss opportunities within the entire capital stack; private equity perspectives; public/private partnerships that are shaping competitive cities; emerging urban redevelopment opportunities; trends in the retail and housing sectors; an update on the outlook of gaming in Florida; and much more!!!

All sessions on Friday will be held at the FSU Turnbull Conference Center.

The Annual Real Estate Trends Conference is organized by the Executive Board's Conference Committee.
