Support the 25th Annual TRENDS Conference!

May 7, 2019

The 25th Annual Real Estate TRENDS Conference is slated for Oct. 24-25, 2019, in Tallahassee to coincide with the FSU vs. Syracuse football game on Saturday, Oct. 26 (Homecoming). With space limited to approximately 700 guests, the event is expected to sell out! The conference committee, co-chaired by Chris Marino, John Mogg and Ted Bollmann, all with the Florida State Board of Administration, promises to continue the tradition of organizing one of the nation’s finest university-based real estate conferences.

In celebration of the 25th year, the 2019 conference opens Thursday, Oct. 24 with a reception on the rooftop terrace at the University Center Club, followed by TRENDS25 (a ticketed event) in the UCC ballroom. TRENDS25 features epicurean food, champagne and entertainment. The evening celebration is preceded Thursday afternoon by the pre-conference student events “If I Were 21” and “Speed Connections.”

The conference continues Friday, Oct. 25. The issues affecting real estate investment, finance and business decisions are the focus of the day’s sessions. The plenary sessions discuss emerging market conditions, while the concurrent sessions examine the impact of opportunity zones, massive-scale development, medical marijuana facilities and changing conditions in residential markets (multifamily and single family). The Friday sessions are at the Turnbull Conference Center.

Sponsor support has been key to the success of this club-style event. It has allowed us to host such prominent speakers as Steve Forbes, Jon Gray, Jack Nicklaus, Barry Sternlicht, Wilbur Ross and many others. To continue to expand the national reach of the conference and deliver a premier event, the conference committee’s goal is to raise $250,000 in sponsor contributions.
