In 1987, prior to forming his development and management companies, Rendina co-founded a medical real estate development company that pioneered the concept of sharing ownership with physicians in the development of medical office properties.

Additionally, Rendina made a significant mark on not-for-profit and educational institutions in Florida, with an emphasis on funding programs and improvements in Palm Beach County.

In 1997, he created the Rendina Family Foundation, which continues to make generous gifts to Boston-based Massachusetts General Hospital and Las Vegas-based St. Rose Dominican Hospital, among others. In Florida, Rendina served on the board of directors for Cardinal Newman High School, the Wellington Boys & Girls Club and Wellington Regional Health and Education Foundation. He also served as chairman of the Palm Beach County chapter of the American Diabetes Association's annual ball in 2004.
